Learn more about our children's dance classes and what we doOur ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance ballet syllabus offering children the opportunity to do recognised examinations in dance. Our timetable is also growing to include contemporary and modern theatre dance so please get in touch to join. We also participate in the American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards allowing children the chance to perform on stage and recieve medals and certificates from a judge of the AAB - this is a completely unique event to HDS! Children also have the chance to dance in studio shows where they perform in a professional theatre.
-
Where are classes held?We have 3 studio locations across Hemel Hempstead and Hatfield, allowing us to serve families and dancers in both communities as well as the surrounding areas of St Albans, Harpenden, Redbourn, Welwyn Garden City to name a few.

What does my child wear to dance? All dance clothes are ordered through the studio. Our uniform corresponds with the dance organisations we are affiliated with and also makes sure dancers are able to move safely and comfortably while dancing. For your child's trial class, any comfortable activewear or dancewear with barefeet is acceptable. Long hair should be tied up and of the face.
