At Herts Dance Studio, we proudly follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet syllabus, offering young dancers a structured and inspiring journey through the ballet grades.
For students in Grades 1, 2, and 3, our Junior programme builds on strong foundational technique while nurturing confidence, discipline, and resilience, qualities that benefit children far beyond the studio. Dancers learn in a calm, encouraging environment, supported by an experienced teacher who cares deeply about their progress and wellbeing.
Our Junior dancers often form special friendships that make dance classes a weekly highlight. From the moment they walk through the door, they’re part of a close-knit community that celebrates each student’s individual journey.
Alongside ballet, children can explore ISTD Modern dance. An exciting mix of jazz and lyrical movement often seen on West End stages. These energetic classes help dancers develop coordination, musicality, and expression, all while building strength and flexibility in a fun, upbeat setting.
Students are invited to showcase their growth through our much-loved annual studio show and Performance Awards. Students also have the opportunity to participate in regulated RAD and ISTD exams, should they wish. All classes take place in our fully equipped studios with professional mirrors and ballet barres, creating a safe and motivating space for dancers to thrive.
